It has been an exciting and interesting study time for me during this period. I learnt a lot more than I knew about the Montessori method. This is not my first contact with the Montessori method but studying with ACT gave me the opportunity to integrate local ideas into my instruction content. There are a few people / organizations offering Montessori training to teachers here, I am very optimistic that Asian College of Teachers management will certainly find a good ground to support and impact teachers. Undertaking a certificate program at ACT without a teaching background presented its own set of challenges. Initially, I grappled with bridging the gap between theory and practice, as I lacked firsthand experience of working directly with young children. However, the program's engaging curriculum and interactive learning opportunities mitigated these challenges. Assignments that encouraged reflection, case studies, and practical application enabled me to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world scenarios. While my journey in early childhood education is still unfolding, this certificate program has laid a strong groundwork for my future endeavors and I am eager to continue exploring this dynamic field.

It was a wonderful experience. There were many areas which I found interesting and new for me which I found quite interesting to learn. Some of the areas are already highlighted in my above feedback. The duration was also just right. However, given my work and other responsibilities I had to rush through couple of my assignments towards the end. I am sure if I had divided my time equally I would have got much better grades. But, I am very pleased with myself to have completed all the assignments on time and also enjoyed learning more about Autism which is a topic of interest to me and close to my heart. I am sure with the knowledge I have gained through this course, I can help many parents who have children on the Spectrum and teachers who work with children with Autism here in my country. In addition, I am in a better position to help my own son.

To enhance the course, incorporating interactive elements like quizzes, case studies, intervention techniques, and video examples of counseling sessions would increase engagement and facilitate practical application. The course could provide us with useful technology tools used among counsellors, recommend websites for finding resources, guide us on creating a curriculum map, outline a referral process, instruct us on conducting observations. Overall, the course is commendable, and its strong theoretical aspect would be further enhanced by implementing these improvements.
